Assumptions

  • One dedicated runner processes one job at a time; we size for 70% utilisation of 24-hour days so peaks still clear.
  • Hosted cost = (minutes − included) × your per-minute price. Storage, artifacts, and larger runner tiers are not modelled.
  • Cache savings apply only to the dedicated side and only if you enter a measured figure.
  • Not modelled: your time maintaining the runner, parallelism needs, or latency of queued jobs. Hosted runners scale instantly; a dedicated machine does not.
