// Mac mini M6 rental
Rent a 2026 Mac mini M6 (16GB / 256GB)
This is the one configuration we rent right now: a 2026 Apple Mac mini with the M6 chip (12-core CPU, 12-core GPU), 16GB of unified memory, and a 256GB SSD, running macOS, dedicated to a single customer, for $129 per month with no setup fee. The live count on the homepage shows how many are available at this moment.
Who it is for
- iOS and macOS developers who need Xcode on Apple silicon without buying a Mac
- Teams that want one always-on Mac for CI, test runs, or an AI coding agent
- Developers on Windows or Linux who need macOS for one project or one client
- Anyone who wants to try a hosted Mac for a month before committing to hardware
Exact specification
- 2026 Mac mini, Apple M6 chip: 12-core CPU, 12-core GPU
- 16GB unified memory (shared between CPU and GPU, fixed)
- 256GB SSD (fixed; plan for Xcode plus a few simulator runtimes and your repositories)
- macOS, installed clean for you; administrator access subject to security and licensing requirements
- Dedicated physical hardware, one customer per machine, always on in our facility
What this configuration is good at
Day-to-day software development, Xcode builds and simulator testing, backend services, containers for local development, CI jobs, scheduled automation, and cloud-hosted AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex that use the Mac for the repository and tools rather than for model inference. Apple silicon is efficient, so the M6 handles compile-heavy work well for its class.
Where 16GB and 256GB are a real limit
- Running several simulators at once, very large Xcode projects, or heavy local machine-learning work will feel the 16GB ceiling
- Local large language models beyond small and medium sizes do not fit in unified memory
- Xcode, simulator runtimes, derived data, and Docker images add up quickly on 256GB; prune regularly or keep artifacts in cloud storage
- Memory and storage cannot be upgraded on this machine; if you need more, tell us through the contact page so we know what to stock next
Price and terms
- $129 per month, billed monthly in advance; no setup fee; no annual commitment
- Billing starts only when your machine is ready and activated
- Cancel the next renewal any time from your dashboard; service runs to the end of the paid period
- Not included: third-party AI subscriptions, Apple Developer Program membership, software licenses, physical access
How remote access works
Your Mac mini stays powered on in our facility. You connect to it over the internet from a Mac, Windows PC, Linux machine, or tablet using two supported methods: SSH for the terminal, and remote desktop for the full macOS interface.
Connection details and step-by-step instructions appear inside your signed-in dashboard once the machine is ready; we never send credentials by plain email. Your files, tools, and sessions persist between connections, so you can disconnect and pick up where you left off.
Setup and onboarding
- STEP 1
Create an account
Sign up with your email or Google account and verify your address. No payment is collected at this step.
- STEP 2
Request your Mac
Tell us how you plan to use it and accept the terms. We review every request by hand.
- STEP 3
We prepare the machine
A team member assigns a dedicated Mac mini to you, installs a clean copy of macOS, and configures secure remote access.
- STEP 4
Start your subscription and connect
When it is ready we email you. You set up payment, billing starts at activation, and your connection details appear in the dashboard.
Questions about this
Is the Mac mini M6 shared with other customers?
No. Each machine is dedicated to one customer for the length of the rental; there is no virtualization and no other tenant.
Can I get more memory or storage?
Not today. The only configuration we rent is 16GB / 256GB. If you need more, use the contact page and tell us what you need so we can plan inventory.
How fast can I get one?
Within 24 hours of your request. The homepage shows the live number of machines available right now.
Is 16GB enough for Xcode?
For typical app development with one simulator, yes. Very large projects or many simulators at once may benefit from more memory, which this configuration cannot provide.
