MacMiniNode is a subsidiary of AnyHauler.
The legal-entity relationship and the contracting entity named in this document must be confirmed before production launch.
1. Agreement and acceptance
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, dashboard, and dedicated Mac mini rental service (together, the “Service”) provided by MacMiniNode (“MacMiniNode”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, placing an order, or using the Service you agree to these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy, each of which is incorporated by reference.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” refers to that entity.
We record the version of these Terms you accepted (currently version 2026-11-02) together with the date and time of acceptance.
2. Definitions
- “Machine” means the single physical Apple Mac mini computer assigned exclusively to you for the duration of your Subscription.
- “Subscription” means your recurring monthly rental of a Machine, including the macOS operating system installed on it, power, network connectivity, and our support.
- “Billing Period” means each successive monthly period for which a Subscription fee has been paid.
- “Activation” means the point at which your Machine has been prepared, connection details have been made available in your dashboard, and your Subscription begins.
- “Customer Data” means any files, code, credentials, or other content you store on or transmit through your Machine.
- “Apple Terms” means the software license agreement for macOS and any other Apple software on the Machine, as published by Apple Inc.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You must provide accurate account information, keep it up to date, and verify your email address.
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account and on your Machine, including activity by anyone to whom you disclose connection details. Notify us promptly through the support ticket system in your dashboard (see the Support page) if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may refuse, suspend, or close accounts that provide false information, that are used in breach of these Terms, or where required by law or by our hardware or payment partners.
4. The Service: dedicated physical hardware
The Service provides you with remote access to one dedicated, physical Apple Mac mini. Your Machine is not a virtual machine and is not shared with any other customer while it is assigned to you. The Machine remains in our facility and remains our property (or the property of our hardware financing partner) at all times. The Subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Machine remotely in accordance with these Terms.
Current hardware specifications are described on the Hardware page. We may substitute a Machine of equal or greater specification where necessary for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
5. Subscription, billing, and renewal
- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance at the price shown on the Pricing page at the time you subscribe, plus any applicable taxes.
- Your Subscription renews automatically at the end of each Billing Period until you cancel renewal or we terminate the Subscription in accordance with these Terms.
- Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Helcim. By providing a payment method you authorize us to charge the recurring Subscription fee and any applicable taxes to that payment method. MacMiniNode never stores your full card number.
- You will not be charged a Subscription fee for a Machine that is never activated. If we are unable to prepare and activate a Machine for you, any pending order is cancelled and no fee is due.
- If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you and may retry the charge. If payment is not received within a reasonable period after the start of the new Billing Period, we may suspend access to your Machine and ultimately end the Subscription and release the Machine.
- There is no setup fee and no annual commitment.
Legal review: Confirm tax collection obligations, invoicing requirements, and payment-retry windows for each jurisdiction in which the Service is offered.
6. Price changes
We may change the Subscription price from time to time. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase by email and in your dashboard before it takes effect. A price change applies from the first renewal after the notice period ends. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel renewal before it takes effect and your Subscription will end at the close of the current Billing Period.
7. Cancellation and end of service
- You may cancel renewal of your Subscription at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not end the current Billing Period.
- After you cancel, your Machine remains available to you until the end of the Billing Period you have already paid for. No further charges are made.
- Fees for partial Billing Periods are not refunded, except where required by applicable law or as set out in the Refund Policy.
- When the paid Billing Period ends, your access is terminated and the Machine is released and erased as described in Section 13.
8. Provisioning and activation
Machines are prepared by our team after you place an order and save a payment method. We do not guarantee instant availability or any specific activation time. Any provisioning estimate shown on the website or in your dashboard is an estimate only. We will notify you by email when your Machine is ready and your dashboard will show its status throughout.
If no Machine is available at the time of your order, we may offer you a place on a waitlist instead. Joining the waitlist does not create a Subscription and no payment is collected.
9. Hardware access conditions
- You are provided with one dedicated Machine per Subscription. Each Machine is for use by you, the single customer to whom it is assigned.
- Access is remote only, through the secure supported connection methods we provide (such as SSH and remote desktop). You will never have physical access to the Machine or to our facility.
- You receive administrator access to the Machine, subject to security and licensing requirements. You may not remove, disable, or interfere with the management, monitoring, security, or recovery controls we install to operate the Service, and you may not modify firmware or attempt to bypass hardware security features.
- You may use the Machine for the permitted developer purposes described in Section 10 and in the Acceptable Use Policy.
- We may need to access your Machine to perform maintenance, investigate a security incident or suspected breach of these Terms, or comply with the law. Where practical we will notify you in advance and limit access to what is necessary.
10. Permitted use and conduct restrictions
The Service is intended for software development and related technical work, including building and testing applications, continuous integration, running development tools and AI coding agents, and remote development workflows. The Acceptable Use Policy sets out the full list of permitted and prohibited uses. In particular, you must not:
- use the Machine for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any third party’s rights;
- share a single Machine among multiple end users, or resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise provide access to the Machine or the Service to any third party;
- operate the Machine as a hosting platform for the general public, run virtual machines for use by third parties, or offer virtualized macOS instances to others;
- mine cryptocurrency, send unsolicited bulk messages, or conduct attacks, scanning, or abuse against any network or system;
- circumvent licensing, activation, digital-rights-management, or usage controls of Apple or any other software vendor; or
- disable or tamper with the security and management controls described in Section 9.
11. Apple software licensing conditions
The Machine runs macOS and other Apple software that is licensed, not sold, by Apple Inc. The following conditions are drafted to align with Apple’s published macOS software license terms for Apple-branded hardware that is leased or rented, and they must be verified against the current Apple Terms before launch:
- Each Machine is dedicated to a single customer. We do not share one Machine, or the macOS installation on it, among multiple customers.
- The Machine may be used only for the permitted developer purposes described in these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Apple’s terms for leased hardware may impose a minimum lease duration. [Minimum lease duration — confirm against current Apple Terms] Any such requirement will be stated clearly before you subscribe and will apply to your Subscription.
- By using the Machine you accept, and agree to comply with, Apple’s macOS software license agreement and any other applicable Apple Terms as the end user of the software.
- Where Apple’s terms require advance notice to Apple or to you (for example regarding the identity of the lessee or changes in use), we will provide that notice, and you agree to supply any information reasonably required to do so. [Apple advance-notice requirements — confirm with counsel]
- These Terms do not grant unrestricted commercial hosting rights or any right to sublicense macOS or to provide virtualized macOS instances to third parties.
Legal review: Verify every statement in this section against the current macOS Software License Agreement and Apple’s terms for leased hardware. Confirm whether any registration or notification with Apple is required before offering the Service.
12. Customer Data, backups, and your responsibilities
- You own your Customer Data. We claim no rights in it except the limited rights needed to operate the Service and to comply with the law.
- You are solely responsible for backing up your Customer Data. The Service does not include backups, snapshots, or data recovery. Hardware can fail, and we are not liable for loss of Customer Data stored on a Machine.
- You are responsible for the security of the software you install, the credentials you store, and the network services you expose from your Machine.
- You must ensure that your use of the Machine, and any Customer Data you store or process, complies with applicable law, including data-protection, export-control, and intellectual-property law.
13. Data deletion when a Machine is released
When your Subscription ends for any reason, your remote access is revoked and the Machine is released. We then securely erase the Machine’s internal storage and reinstall a clean copy of macOS before the Machine is assigned to any other customer. Erasure is irreversible; we cannot recover Customer Data after a Machine has been released. Please export anything you want to keep before the end of your paid Billing Period.
We may retain account, billing, support, and audit records as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Service interruptions and maintenance
We work to keep Machines powered, online, and reachable, but the Service is provided without any guaranteed uptime or service-level commitment unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Interruptions may occur due to maintenance, hardware failure, power or network events, security incidents, or circumstances beyond our control.
Where practical we will give advance notice of planned maintenance in your dashboard or by email. If a hardware fault cannot be resolved promptly, we may replace your Machine with one of equal or greater specification; your Customer Data cannot be migrated automatically, so maintaining your own backups is essential.
Legal review: Decide whether any service credits or uptime commitments will be offered, and if so, specify them here and in the Refund Policy.
15. Support
Support is provided through the ticket system in your dashboard, and through any other channel listed on the Support page. We aim to respond to incidents that affect access to your Machine as a priority. Support covers the Machine, connectivity, your account, and billing; it does not include assistance with third-party software, your code, or services you choose to run on the Machine.
16. Suspension and termination by MacMiniNode
We may suspend or terminate your access to a Machine or the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if payment is overdue, if your use creates a security, legal, or operational risk, or if we are required to do so by law or by Apple’s terms. Where practical we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue first. We may also discontinue the Service or a particular hardware model on at least 30 days’ notice, in which case you will not be charged for any Billing Period after the discontinuation date.
17. Intellectual property
The Service, website, dashboard, documentation, and all related trademarks and content are owned by MacMiniNode or its licensors. Apple, Mac, Mac mini, and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., which is not affiliated with or a sponsor of MacMiniNode. You retain all rights in your Customer Data and in software you develop using the Service.
18. Third-party services and tools
Third-party software and services you use on your Machine, such as AI coding tools, developer accounts, cloud services, and package registries, are governed by their own terms and fees. Subscriptions, API usage, and licenses for such services are not included in the Subscription fee and are your responsibility. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of any third-party service.
19. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MacMiniNode DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Legal review: Confirm consumer-protection carve-outs for each jurisdiction in which the Service is offered.
20. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MacMiniNode AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE SUBSCRIPTION FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE [three (3) months — confirm with counsel] IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Legal review: Limitation of liability and the liability cap are flagged for legal review. Confirm enforceability, mandatory exceptions (for example gross negligence, personal injury, or statutory rights), and the appropriate cap for the governing jurisdiction.
21. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MacMiniNode and its affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your Customer Data, your use of the Machine in breach of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
22. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — confirm with counsel], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts located in [Jurisdiction — confirm with counsel], and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
Legal review: Confirm governing law, venue, and whether arbitration or a class-action waiver is appropriate and enforceable.
23. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or in your dashboard at least 30 days before they take effect, and the version identifier at the top of this page will change. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, cancel renewal before the changes take effect.
24. General
- These Terms, together with the policies incorporated by reference, are the entire agreement between you and MacMiniNode regarding the Service.
- If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
- You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or successor.
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
- Notices to you will be sent to the email address on your account. Notices to us should be sent through the support ticket system in your dashboard (see the Support page).
