MacMiniNode is a subsidiary of AnyHauler.
The legal-entity relationship and the contracting entity named in this document must be confirmed before production launch.
1. Purpose and scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) is part of the MacMiniNode Terms of Service. It applies to every person who accesses a Machine or the Service and to everything that runs on a Machine assigned to you. It exists to protect our customers, our hardware and network, Apple’s software license terms, and third parties. Capitalized terms have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
2. Permitted uses
Machines are provided for software development and related technical work by a single customer. Permitted uses include:
- Writing, building, compiling, and debugging software, including with Xcode and other developer tools.
- Running AI coding agents and assistants such as Claude Code or OpenAI Codex under your own accounts with those providers.
- Continuous integration, build automation, and automated testing for your own projects or your organization’s projects.
- Running simulators, emulators, containers, databases, and local services needed for development and testing.
- Remote development workflows over SSH or remote desktop from your own devices.
- Hosting development, staging, or internal services that are used by you or your organization in connection with the above, provided this does not become general-purpose public hosting.
3. Prohibited uses
You must not use a Machine or the Service to:
- violate any law or regulation, or infringe the intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
- store or distribute unlawful content, malware, or material that is defamatory, harassing, or exploitative;
- attack, probe, scan, flood, or gain unauthorized access to any network, system, or account, or interfere with any other customer’s Machine;
- mine or stake cryptocurrency, or run other sustained compute workloads unrelated to software development that are designed to extract value from the hardware;
- send unsolicited bulk email or messages, operate open relays or proxies, or engage in phishing or fraud;
- circumvent, disable, or tamper with licensing, activation, digital-rights-management, or usage controls of Apple or any other software vendor;
- disable, remove, or interfere with the management, monitoring, security, or recovery controls that MacMiniNode installs to operate the Service, or attempt to modify firmware or bypass hardware security features;
- share a single Machine among multiple end users, whether by creating accounts for other people, pooling access, or otherwise;
- resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or provide access to the Machine or the Service to any third party, or operate the Machine as a hosting platform for the public;
- run virtual machines or virtualized macOS instances for use by third parties, or offer macOS as a service to others; or
- misrepresent your identity or your relationship with MacMiniNode or Apple.
4. Licensing and sharing restrictions
Each Machine runs macOS under Apple’s software license terms for Apple-branded hardware. Those terms, and your Subscription, allow the Machine to be used by one customer for permitted developer purposes. You must comply with Apple’s macOS software license agreement and with the license terms of any software you install. MacMiniNode does not grant you any right to sublicense macOS, to provide virtualized macOS instances to others, or to use the Machine for unrestricted commercial hosting.
Legal review: Verify these restrictions against the current Apple macOS Software License Agreement and Apple’s terms for leased hardware before launch.
5. Security and network conduct
- Keep your connection credentials confidential and use strong authentication. Rotate credentials if you suspect they have been exposed.
- Keep the software you install reasonably up to date and do not knowingly run compromised software.
- Do not expose services to the public internet in a way that creates a security risk for the Machine or our network; use authentication and firewall rules appropriately.
- Do not change the Machine’s network configuration in ways that interfere with our ability to manage it or that affect other customers.
- Report security vulnerabilities in the Service to us promptly through the support ticket system in your dashboard (see the Support page).
6. Resource and operational limits
Because your Machine is dedicated, its CPU, GPU, memory, and storage are yours to use fully. Network connectivity, power, and cooling are shared facility resources. We may apply reasonable bandwidth limits or ask you to adjust workloads that generate sustained traffic patterns that degrade the facility for other customers or that are inconsistent with permitted developer use. [Confirm any specific bandwidth or traffic limits before launch]
7. Reporting and enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Depending on the severity, we may warn you, require you to remedy the issue, restrict network access, suspend your access to the Machine, or terminate your Subscription and release the Machine in accordance with the Terms of Service. Where practical we will notify you and give you an opportunity to respond before taking action, except where a violation creates an immediate security, legal, or operational risk. We may preserve and disclose information as required by law or to protect the rights and safety of MacMiniNode, our customers, or others.
Fees for a Subscription terminated for violation of this AUP are not refunded, except where required by law.
To report abuse originating from the Service, contact us through the support ticket system in your dashboard (see the Support page).
8. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced in your dashboard or by email, and the version identifier at the top of this page will change.
